This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for purchases made through BeforeMechanic. By purchasing a report, you agree to this Refund Policy.

1. Digital Product Notice

BeforeMechanic sells AI-generated digital car problem reports. Because reports are generated and delivered digitally after purchase, completed report purchases are generally considered final.

2. When Refunds May Be Approved

We may approve a refund in cases of technical delivery failure, duplicate payment, wrong package due to technical error, or payment processing error. If payment was completed but the report was not generated, not accessible, and our support team cannot resolve the issue, you may be eligible for a refund.

3. When Refunds Are Generally Not Provided

Refunds are generally not provided if the report was successfully generated and delivered, you disagree with the AI-generated analysis, your mechanic gives a different opinion, the report does not identify the exact faulty part, you provided incorrect or incomplete vehicle information, you purchased the wrong package by mistake, you no longer need the report, or you expected a certified mechanic diagnosis or live consultation.

4. Replacement Reports

In some cases, we may offer a replacement report instead of a refund if you entered minor incorrect information, a technical issue affected report formatting, the PDF was not generated properly, the email delivery failed, or the report link did not work.

5. Refund Request Deadline

Refund requests should be submitted within 7 days of purchase. Requests submitted after this period may not be eligible for review, except where required by applicable law or payment processor rules.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact support@beforemechanic.com. Include your name, purchase email address, report link, order ID or payment reference, reason for the refund request, and screenshot of any error if applicable.

7. Review Time

We aim to review refund requests within a reasonable time. If approved, refunds are processed through the original payment method where possible. Payment providers may take additional time to return funds to your account.

8. Chargebacks

If you have an issue with your purchase, please contact us before opening a chargeback. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in restricted access to BeforeMechanic services.
